Brittany Nelsen is a Florida Licensed Clinical Psychologist.. She received her doctorate from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited Program in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College in 2011, with an emphasis in sport psychology and women's issues. Dr. Nelsen completed her APPIC approved pre-doctoral internship with Meier Clinics in Wheaton, Illinois, working with adolescents and adults in a day treatment program setting for mental health.
Dr. Nelsen employs an integrative approach in her work, with a strong foundation in Faith Based, Cognitive Behavioral, and Person Centered Therapies. She enjoys working alongside clients, helping them achieve insight into current unhealthy behaviors and empowering them to make lasting change.
Dr. Nelsen has experience assessing and working with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with a range of psychological issues including developmental difficulties, trauma, mood disorders, thought disorders, addictions, relationship issues, spiritual concerns, and cognitive disorders. She has extensive experience working with college student athletes, helping them overcome anxiety and work towards reaching their full physiological and psychological potential.
